JORDAN THE GREAT
Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest Basketball player of all time but he is also the greatest scorer. If we talk about skills and talent , there's no question that he is really the best. Even though in his first few years in the NBA he is criticize and blamed as a selfish player and doesn't care about winning he still proves that he can elevate his individual position into a new level and even bring his team to the Playoffs , but was eliminated by the more experienced and elite teams. But on his seventh season , Michael Jordan breaks all the barriers and punished their tormentors to win the NBA Championship (He has six NBA Championships 1991 , 1992 , 1993 , 1996 , 1997 , 1998.). Michael Jordan finds a way to win and also looks for his teammates and to prove all the Jordan doubters that he is not a "One Man Team" and a scoring champion can also win championships.
JORDAN SCORING SPREE
The way Jordan scores is not like the other prolific scorers in the league does it. Some scores by shooting a lot of Three's or maybe by many foul shots have made and attempted. But Jordan has the combination of strength , explosive skills and his high I.Q. in Basketball so that he is very different to other players in terms of scoring. As a proof , his statistics lines tells us the truth. Jordan have scored 60 or more points five times and a bunch of 50 or more and 40 or more point games. We also must take note that Jordan sat out the fourth quarter on some of those games because of his coach's decision. And what impressed the people most is that Jordan does it in both ends of the floor , there are game situations like when Jordan blocked an opponent or maybe he stole the ball and then pulls up a Three or if the opponent gets unlucky , Jordan will throw down a slam on one , two or three defenders ! That's how he impress the crowd with matching great smile and approach on the fans. So that Jordan does not only score a basket but he also scored points on the media's eyes and ears , that's why he is very popular.
JORDAN STOPPERS
Jordan defenders are all having nightmares against him on the Basketball court but even Jordan has a lot of bad dreams against his defenders and tormentors. The most dedicated Jordan defenders will find on the personalities of the Detroit Pistons players (led by Isiah Thomas) who punishes Jordan by their defensive tactics. Piston's coach Chuck Daly introduces the "JORDAN RULES" where all of the five Piston players on the floor would only take their defense concentration on Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan got all kind of bumps , hits and even punches every time he face the Detroit Pistons especially in the Playoffs (1988-1991). They do everything just to prevent Jordan from scoring but despite of all the struggles of the Chicago Bulls , Jordan still manages to put big numbers. He does have 40 or plus point games. When the Bulls finally defeat the Pistons in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals , then that was the time a lot of teams puts up a great defense (but not really as good as the "JORDAN RULES") on Jordan. The 90's era was really dominated by Jordan and the Bulls and no defense at all can stop him from scoring and winning.
JORDAN SUCCESSORS
Michael Jordan's final remaining games in the NBA has been the talked of Basketball World during those days. In 1998 , Jordan's final season with the Bulls have marked in the NBA History because people say that it is the end of the JORDAN ERA that would end up to the downfall of the NBA. Thanks to the young and rising stars of the league who fill up the left throne of the Basketball King Michael Jordan. Although some are injury prone at the young age (the best example was Grant Hill) , some rises and goes up to the high levels of the game. Some of those players are namely Kobe Bryant , Vince Carter , Allen Iverson , Tracy McGrady etc. These players are also great scorers. When Jordan came back to the NBA in 2002 , he prove them all that he can still scores like the Jordan of old. On his final All Star Game in 2003 , he said that "There are so many great stars , so many great players. I'll leave the game in good hands , now I can go home in peace.". Michael Jordan finally have retired for goods after that 2003 season. Then the name Kobe Bryant goes higher as it was before , some say that he would be the next Michael Jordan but still professional Basketball analysts (especially the Jordan loyalists) says no player is very close to Jordan. Also in 2003 , a great class of NBA draft picks soars. It seems that this class fits on Jordan's retirement because now a lot of players has a bigger chance on dominating their era. Some of the big names came out like LeBron James (a high school phenom) , Carmelo Anthony and another "NEXT JORDAN PROSPECT" Dwyane Wade. Maybe they can dominate on both ends of the floor but Michael Jordan still has the biggest heart and if we look at Jordan's career , we might say that Jordan has the best Basketball story ever.
JORDAN AS A COMPETITOR
Jordan never stop on practicing , he doesn't want to lose , he always keep on trying no matter what. He once said to Phil Jackson that "If you give me another challenge , I will not retire." Michael has been a victim of his own success. Challenges keeps him alive in the court , he doesn't care on who will he face the next game but he just want to play and to prove all the doubters that "What other players do not have is what I have."
" Everyday I feel like I need to improve , I never try to stop improving. "
